TWO JAZZ LEGENDS. ONE INTIMATE STAGE.
SOWAL Jazz Fest welcomes an extraordinary meeting of jazz history as Bobby Watson and Curtis Lundy headline SOWAL House with an all star quartet. These are musicians who helped shape the sound of modern straight ahead jazz.
Multi GRAMMY nominated alto saxophonist Bobby Watson emerged as musical director of Art Blakey’s legendary Jazz Messengers, one of the most important proving grounds in jazz history. His career has since included work with Max Roach, George Coleman, Wynton Marsalis, Dianne Reeves and countless others, along with nearly 30 albums as a leader.
